2013, My year in Curling

I'm a little late writing about 2013, it's already February.

Things got interesting in October.  Along with trying to learn a new delivery style, I also found myself playing at a new club: Curl San Diego, and continuing to play at the Hollywood Curling Club.

Wednesday night was a blast.  My Wednesday team of Joe, Jonathan and Suzen did well, bringing us a very respectable third with a young team.

On Sunday, I played with a mostly older team, which was an interesting contrast.  Wednesday night I was the more experienced player, and Sunday, I was the new guy.  We finished Second.  This is the first time my team made it to second place in a league.

On Saturday, I played with Tom, Ryan and Chris.  Chris was our new player, in his first full league.  We took first place in the league, a new experience for all four of us.

I would have been more excited leading up to the game, but I simply concentrated on playing well.

As 2013 came to a close, clubs are already starting to work toward The Olympics -- The first 2014 Winter Games Learn to Curl I helped teach was on December 28th.

2014 is going to be a busy year.
